Question:

Why do liberals oppose both freedom of speech and guns?

Wasn't the reason to have freedom of speech to be allowed to criticized the government and guns to rise against a government who does not represent the people's interest?

Without the first amendment and second amendment then wouldn't the U.S. be a tyrant nation?

  1. They dislike them because they are afraid of both.

As for the 2nd amendment decision by the Supremes, do a search for the Heller vs Washington D.C.

They have done an extensive and exhaustive break down on the 2nd amendment and a historical research of the meanings. It was clear that the founding fathers had citizen personal rights in mind when this amendment was drafted and put to a ratification vote. The Draconian Enforcement of the unconstitutional anti-citizens rights gun laws should draw a heavy fine and a storm of unlawful death lawsuits against the city.

  2. That isn't really a liberal view, more of an extreme right depiction of extreme left interests.

  3. Speech and guns are enemies of the collective

  4. i wish i knew. very good question.

  5. So you can't shoot your mouth off!

  6. liberals don't oppose free speech if its what they agree with, only if they disagree, then its wrong.

  7. We don't - but it's been a productive area for Republican Lies in the past.  Keep passing the lies around - stupid people love them.

  8. They are clueless that gun rights= more deaths.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, after the Communists took over the Chinese government, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 under the regime of dictator Adolf Hitler. From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others living in Germany who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia (Kampuchea) established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981,100,000 Mayans, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

GRAND TOTAL: Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: OVER 56 MILLION. To give you an idea, that's a little more than one out of every six Americans currently living in the United States. Here's a better illustration: That's over 3 million more people than the combined population of the states of New York and California.

HOW ABOUT THIS? It has now been over a year since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government; a program costing Australian taxpayers more than $500 million. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 32 percent.

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent!)

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 PERCENT!!!

Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned their firearms in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! Figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, but the rate of armed robbery with firearms has gone up drastically in the past year, since criminals are now guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove gun control laws DO NOT WORK.

You won't see this data on the U.S. evening news, nor will you hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
