Why do limos need to be used for about 3-4 hours?

as in... why can't i just use a limo to take me to my quince party that's like 30 min. away i can only find limos that want 4 hours of services minimum

some companies would do a 30 min but charge you for at least a 2 hours job.

limos are different than taxis they're not running all day, they're by appointment only. it needs lot of preperation time and expenses to run a limo like hiring a driver, insurance, detailing, gas, glasses and ice, etc....so it's not worth it for the limo company to rent it for less than 4 hours.
