Why do liquids generally react faster than solids and why do gases generally react faster than liquids?

  1. It's like this:
    Gases-loosely packed
    Liquids-Loosely packed
    Solids-Tightly packed


    Gases diffuse faster because gases are the lightest.
    Solids do not diffuse.
    Liquids diffuse relatively fast but not as fat as gases.
