  1. if their parents arent going to tell them about stuff then somebody has to, as long as its not too graphic or beyound their comprehension, then they do have a right to know

i know when i was 11/12 i was curious about the world but i knew about puberty cause i had older siblings. many of these kids dont so they come here to find out.

  2. no...i totally agree, its kinda disturbing to watch efven 10 year olds (!!!!!!) as questions about s*x...its wrong

  3. i agree.

  4. I'm sure a lot of people around age 11 or 12 would have asked the same questions here if they had access to it. But seeing how Y! Answers is relatively new, most people who use it weren't 11 or 12 when Y! Answers as developed, otherwise they would be asking the same questions.

It's not like just because they don't ask those questions here, or anywhere for that matter, that they are not going to wonder about s*x and other more mature topics. Asking about s*x and the like is part of growing up and maturing, and we all wondered how exactly it was done (s*x), we just didn't have the ability to ask anyone with Internet access. So, at least they are asking questions. If anything, they will learn what s*x is and be exposed to it earlier, and also see what a loaded weapon it can be.

Of course kids need to be monitored. That goes without saying. But covering s*x up is not going to hide it from them, they are going to learn about it around age 11. And the parents should be doing their jobs and know what is going on in their kids lives', but hiding s*x and keeping it a big secret is all for not--kids are going to learn about it one way or another, and it's better that they hear about it from adults rather than their friends during recess.

  5. I don't think it's your place to decide what these kids are asking. It's their parents job.

  6. I think that they shood be allowed!

    Hope that helped!

  7. I don't know, maybe some parents are low lifes and don't give a **** about what their kids do.

But I know what you mean, some 11 and 12 year old kids are on here asking if their p***s will get bigger or if they should dumb their boyfriend. It's pretty annoying.

  8. i agree with you on the fact that they should be watched!!!!....because it has been alot of young  kids asking alot of s*x questions!..for ex. what is masturbation and all that type of stuff i feel as if they really want2know they should talk to their parents about these type of things because people that dont know you on here can care less of you or what you do and they can give you all these horrible ideas and all!!!! so yea i think that at that age they should be watched because if not them asking questions like that can lead to having s*x probably with a older men or women just to see how it feels!!!....and then parents wonder why their children get pregnant or get a girl pregnant at such a young age!!!....But i agree that they should be monitored at that age!!!

  9. Oh, they should be watched OK, but it's unrealistic to think that they can or will be watched every minute.  Also, a healthy curiosity is good.  Better informed than ignorant of things that either concern them now or will shortly (you know 11 year olds can get pregnant, don't you?).  For the most part, there's nothing harmful on here, just frequent misinformation, but no more than they get at school from their friends.

It's a sign of the new times, the age of instant information, a new paradigm that we haven't written rules for yet.  Mainly, the days when parents could keep kids naive and clueless in the hopes that they'd stay helpless babies forever are gone.  Time for parents and other responsible adults to step up to the plate and be sure kids have all the relevant facts just as soon as they're old enough to absorb them.

  10. i think about that all the time.

  11. Hey,

I think it's ok if they come on here for general advice but i don't like the immature ones who come here to have some fun like when they ask questions like "I'm 12 and pregnant" because well it's just not funny. Most of these kids already know everything i know when i was 11 i knew almost everything about everything and by the time i was 12 i really did know everything, but that's mainly because i have an older friend who told me everything, most of it gets taught to them by that age anyway by their parents and teachers but if not then they find out by "playground chat"

  12. I'm 12 and left all by myself 5 days a week with internet access, phone, and house all to myself. from 6:00am to 5:00 pm. I don't need no babysitter.

But then again, sometimes I feel neglected. It's like, what If i trip and fall into my pool and am dieing and nobody is there to save me? Or what if someone broke into my house and took me? They would have no idea. It's scary to think about. I'm only twelve.

  13. I agree.  Kids need to be monitored.  The computer is not a babysitter, parents should be the ones to give children education and life lessons.

Computers can be fun, but for s*x ed., and naughtiness...out of the question.  There is just too much info available out there these days.

  14. My parents don't watch over my shoulder, but they check my internet history, and I'm fourteen.

But I think parents should monitor their kids on the computer. Life would be so much easier.

  15. well im 12 and like what questions do u mean

  16. no i do not agree. kids should get privacy and even though there is some adult content on here they may have questions they cannot ask there parents and there is really no other site that can help them personally so i think kids maybe 12 and up shuld be aloud on here
