Why do little kids.........?

Question

I have two twin sisters that are both 9 and two little brothers that are 5 and 6 years old. Everyday, they want me to play with them and barbies, Lego's, tag, whatever and if I dont, they will kill me and get all angry. It's so annoying. I just want to live my teenage life lol.

I will play with them from time to time but they expect me to do it 24/7!!!! Then hey'll have thsangry look on ther facs.....i tell them i have a live to live to but they dont listen. any advice??? i really dotn wnt to deal with it anymore?

they love you and they want you to play with them

and plus your their older sister so they look up to you and they want to talk to you. its nice to play with your siblings.

& they get angry because they want you to play with them

you could try to tell them that on certain days you will play with them for like 10 minutes or so, its always good to spend time with your brothers and sisters & explain to them that you are older and that you want to play with kids your age and make that clear with them

They are young and restless. As they get older it will pass. Until then, you're just going to have to either play with them or just ignore the fact that they get upset.

They probably look up to you and want you to hang out with them. It's not bad for you to want time away from them and just explain that. Young kids are smarter than we give them credit for.

omg... tell me about it. i have 3 younger cousins (6, 4, and 1) and i stayed with them for 2 weeks. its like they think that my sole purpose in life is to play with them. they dont realize that i need sleep and rest! lol. i love em though =]

i would just play with them a little more often, but also make sure they understand that you have other, important things to do.

okay, you can always do the kiddie way and tell your parents on them, lol, or u can make deals with them, if u play with them today, they leave you alone tomarrow,  and so on, and they're little, stomp on them! lol jp

it's nice that they want to spend time with you but i sympathize with you having your younger brothers and sisters demanding all your attention can be very draining.

have you tried setting guide lines before you play with them, telling them that you'll play with them for a certain amount of time and then you have to get on with your own thing and if they sulk you won't bother at all, if you keep giving in to them they will keep taking, if you find it too time consuming playing with them individually isn't there anything that everyone can do together.
