Why do male primates have nipples?

Just to throw a "monkey wrench" in the mix... All mammals have nipples. Male cats and dogs have nipples. You can tell if you rub their tummies. It's all part of embryonic development. You all have at least rudimentary mammary glands.

Well it is seen that if the mother is not around the baby can suck on the guys nipple for a pacifier. i know this sounds weird but it's true. Therefore that why guys have nipples and they would look weird without them right?

well, thats one of the many mysteries that have still not been uncovered, scientists are still researching on this matter as to why male primated ahve nipples because till now, they have been observed to be having no necessary function

During the initial stages of embryonic development, we are all female. After about 6 weeks, gender specific features start to develop, but the nipples remain.
