Question:

Why do male security guards give women a pass while treating men like criminals?

In my building, the women just have to flash a smile and they are waved on through. Men are given the third degree and told to break out some ID.

Feminists, can you really say this is good security?

  1. I don't really think it's good security because even women can carry weapons or something.

All men and women are equal. :)

  2. You haven't been to my university. All of us have to either wait ten minutes or fill out one form or another before being allowed to do whatever.

  3. girls have v****a's. get used to it

  4. That's profiling, to estimate level of threat based on demographic behaviors, such as, more young men drive recklessly than do young women therefore police look for reckless driving behaviors more when a male is behind the wheel than a female, or, almost all school/mall/postal mass shootings have been committed by young men therefore security focuses the majority of their attention on young men.  And, no, I do not think that is perfect security, although I understand the logic behind it and efficiency, because I just don't like profiling period.  It's discriminatory and insulting anyway you look at it.  Bring this issue to the attention of those responsibile for hiring security in your building.

  5. The security team is sexist.  This isn't a problem with feminism though, unless feminists are the reason the security is like that, which I seriously doubt.

Somebody needs to complain about this.  I have a feeling that higher-ups in the company won't appreciate anyone being let in this easy for a lot of reasons.

  6. That's a stupid and dangerous thing to do. By not checking their IDs, the security guards don't know if these women belong in the building or if they are strangers who walked in off the street.

  7. I think most feminists would agree with me by saying that your security team is sexist against women by thinking they're all too helpless to cause a problem in your building.

You should make a complaint to the company that manages them.

  8. So MOVE.
