Why do males go bald ?

my dad is bald and he is not in the best shape of his life and didnt take good care of his hair when he was younger. also i notice that hispanics, italians, and indians have great oily hair and usually never go bald why is this i think it is because of the natural oils they leave in their hair/ anyway back to my question y do cacasians go bald at like thirty thanks Banner.

I started losing my hair around 17. Genetics plays a role.

It is linked to testosterone levels.

If men are treated for enlarged prostate and use Finasteride which reduces their testosterone then they tend to have more hair. Infact finasteride is used in lower doses to make the hair grow.

It does have other, potential, side effects though.

2 reasons. 1 is hereditary. if males in your family (mum or dads side) are bald when older, it is more likely for you to be bald as well. 2 is due to male hormones. Dihydrotestosterone from the hormone testosterone makes you go bald.
