Why do males mammals have nipples?

  1. Well technically it wouldn't look weird if we didn't have nipples unless like...all males started to be born with out nipples.

    But yeah..it's just something that developes for both sexes before the initial s*x is determined.


  2. Because before a gender is determined when you're a baby we're all girls.  A boy will grow a p***s if he's a boy, and a girl will remain the same.  Hence nipples.

  3. Males have nipples because they are a feature which develops in the embryo before sexual differentiation occurs - Only in the female do they become functional. It's also another piece of evidence that we're related to other apes by common descent, rather than being intelligently designed, since the males of those species also have non-functional nipples just like us.

  4. Why do MEN have nipples? I have wondered that too. WOuldn't it look wierd if they didn't though?
