Why do many if not most women dislike facial hair?

I'm a female, and I don't particularly like facial hair. But I'm not sure why.

I can say that I did think this one guy was cute with a bit of a beard on his chin, but that's one of the only times I can think of.

And for some reason I really don't like mustaches at all.

I think that a bit of stubble can look good though sometimes.

I like my men clean-shaved, but once in a while they can look good with stubble.  I don't like mustaches or beards, and most goatees.

Stubble causes acne when you make out.

I love men who are clean cut.  I think it has to do with hygiene though.  

With beards, you kind of think whats he hiding behind there or in there.  Or when he eats a muffin or something, the crumbs catch his beard.  

Then lets say you are cuddling the beard scratches your face.  Or when you want to make out, you are making out with hair in your mouth.  

Gross.  

I do like stubble though because it is a sign of masculinity.  That kind of hair is not bad because doesn't catch food and etc.

I think you are completely wrong in your assumption. My hubby has a facial hair at my request. Its a little uncomfortable in "certain situations" as stubble and coarse facial hair can make your delicate skin raw but for the most part, I like it, as with many other women that I know. As long as it is maintained and not just growing wild.

Well, personally, I think it depends on the man's face. If he's 24 and shaves his face and looks 14, then a little facial hair goes a long way. If it's kept up (meaning clean lines and not overly long) then it looks really good. I like guys with it but that's because I like "mens' men" or the rustic guys. A guy who can pull off a wife-beater and jeans but also a suit. That's a man! Lol but facial hair is cute to me.
