Question:

Why do many mass murderers target educational institutions?

Is it purely because there are bound to be large numbers of unarmed people present? Otherwise I cannot see why they'd target a building full of 'innocent' young people, when the killer is more likely to have been angered by those more commonly found in a police station, church, barracks etc?

  1. when the killer is more likely to have been angered by those more commonly found in a...

"police station/barracks" - they have guns

    "church" - it's happened before

  2. some of them might of been bullied at school

  3. Realize that they want to kill as many people as they can before killing themselves. Your own answer is a good one- people are in large numbers, guaranteed to be unarmed in government building, and schools. Also, many of them have been going to those schools- they know where to go to find groups, are familiar with the layout, and may be just a little irritated with the school. I think mainly it is large groups of unarmed people though.

  4. I think its a case of the innocents like you mentioned and a case of eggs in one basket

  5. Well the answer is your wrong. not all problems are caused by the "commonly found in a police station, church, barracks, etc" they have emotional problems as well as a mental disorder of a sort. ive thought about doing this simply because the person who abused me as a kid works at the school, and so many poeple fall for her lies. enough said. theres a good number of reasons.

  6. kinda like animals

the more concentrated areas are usually teeming with young.

it's a power trip short lived

  7. unarmed Innocent people
