I often see a lot of questions on here from people in other countries asking Americans for their opinion on a particular issue. "What do Americans think about ... ?" or "Is it true that most Americans hate [country name]â€� I’ve also noticed that when an American does the same (asking questions about people from other countries), they’re suddenly labeled as an ignorant American for not knowing everything about that particular country, but when someone from the other side of the world asks a question like what type of cars American drive, most of the Americans who answer seem glad to answer their question without labeling them as an ignorant person who doesn’t know basic facts about the USA. People in other countries often seem interested in domestic issues that only effect Americans like health care, education, how Americans live, etc. But why?
