Why do melbourne people spend so much of their time bagging adelaide?

im from sydney and want to know why do bogans i mean melbourne peolple spend so much of their time bagging adelaide when they havent even been there. they even spend alot of time on the net looking for sites about adelaide and write stupid comments.

Sydney wankers as they are commonly known think Australia ends at the N.S.W border they are are always crowing about the weather (double the rain of Melb) and how they are the biggest and best blah blah and the people seem to be cursed with loud American style mouths.

oops did you say Adelaide? - wouldn't f**t on the place as well last time i went there i fell asleep as soon as i crossed the border

I am originally from Melbourne born and bred, and I have never bagged Adelaide, nor have I heard anyone bagging it, as far as I can remember.

Adelaide is a nice little city.

Anyway, Melbourne is nearly 4 million people, I guess some of us are not cool. But most Melbournians are awesome (at least 3 million out of the 4 million LOL) Come down and visit sometime...

I think a lot of it stems from the fact that there is a fierce SA/VIC rivalry with football.  I'm from Melbourne but I like parts of Adelaide, just as I like parts of Melbourne (and parts of Sydney).  Every city has there good and not so good areas (even Sydney).

I live in Melbourne & never hear people bagging Adelaide

The only Time I come across the so called bagging is when people like you bring it up on yahoo answers.

It actually sounds to me like a Media thing that the SA media make a big thing of  just to sell papers & encourage a rivalry that is not really there.
