Why do men's beards feel like pubes?

Do you ever notice that a man who grows a goatee when I go up and touch men's goatees they often feel just like pubic hairs, so coarse, not like the soft hairs on their head. Why? I want to kow.

Maybe cuz its shaved often so it grows back thicker and more coarse? I dont know lol
