Why do men kill, rape, rob, more than women?

Generally speaking, when a crime happens (like killing, raping, stealing) usually it is a guy. Why is that?

Physical aggression is linked to high levels of testosterone and low levels of serotonin, both of which are more commonly present in men. Not all men are violent, but many feel the need to channel their energy into another activity like sport, whereas women tend to pursue verbal activities.

Testosterone can explain some of it-but it obviously depends on the culture and societal conditioning as some societies and religious communities are very peaceful (both genders) and others like our society (US) are very violent and war-like. If only Canada wasn't so cold..

Wow... there are many analyses, theories, explanations, etc. that attempt to answer this... The best I've heard is that males commit more crimes, especially violent crimes because POSSIBLY:

1. Some are born into a less than fortunate life, and resort to stealing, or joining a gang (which may give them a sense of family, since many parents (or lack thereof) may have multiple jobs... These juveniles are then thrown into the system.. and the majority of them are in this system for the rest of their lives... prison becomes their home.  Committing these petty crimes may lead to more violent crimes the older the kids get.

2.  In our society, men are raised that they should not express themselves emotionally.. or at least not as "much" as women do.. like a lot of parents will tell sons "Stop crying!" and scold them, on the other hand, parents will most likely tell daughters, "aww, are you okay? why are you crying?" and coax them.  Many believe that if you do this, many males develop issues because of "holding in" their emotions... meaning they don't know how to handle harsher emotions like sadness, anger, or humiliation.  I guess it may lead to violent crimes (like beating wives/gfs)..

3.  Rape is about control.  Even rapes that occur in prisons (male on male) is done for control.  For rape, it's not necessarily about sexual satisfaction, but it's about gaining a sense of power over another person.

Obviously not all men are like this...  but in terms of why men commit these kinds of crimes more than women, these theories may help.. As for women, women tend to commit crimes of passion.  The majority of women who commit murder typically kill their bfs/husbands and family members. Along with gfs/wives and family members, men also kill strangers, like while they're robbing them.  The majority of the women who are survivors of violence say that the men who attacked them at one point claimed that he has loved her.

Moron. Women are always seem as victims, even when they kill, steal or rape(yes, women can rape too), this the motive because they APARENTLY commit less crimes, because they are almost never considered guilty.
