Why do men swimmer shave thier armpits.

Olympic Swimmers shave ALL body hair from what I have heard (except for on the head of course).  They do it to increase agility in the water, and the smoothness.  I have a swimmer friend who said even shaving your arms can make a big difference

they shave there armpits so there is less drag and they can go faster

not only their arm pits, they shave everywhere. its because the hair slows you down when you swim, so when they swim without hair, they will go faster.

but it works.

it does actually slow you down.

isnt that so neat? the smallest things can make you lose, or win by nano seconds.
