Why do mice do this?

one time i was up north in wisconsin and i saw a mouse that was running around in circles for the longest time. my dad told me that he might've had an ear infection. do mice really do that when they have an ear infection? and why?

  1. It's true that it might have had an ear infection that was affecting it's balance. (Balance is controlled by a part of the inner ear).

    If not, it might have been blind. Blind animals often walk in circles.
