  1. I don't know that middle eastern women all have very strong body smells, but the reason different people have different body smells has to do with genetics and environment.

B.O. is really the waste from bacteria.  Bacteria live all over and in our bodies and they feed off of our bodily secretions.  You specific genetic makeup contributes to the type of bacteria the colonize your body and therefore your smell.  Additionally, what you eat affects the composition of some of your secretions (if you've ever eaten a lot of garlic you'll see, or smell, that your sweat even smells like garlic) and therefore your bacterial composition.

So, if in fact your premise is true, then it probably has to do with both genetic lineage and food preference.  However, another explanation could be, if you're not middle eastern yourself, that the smells you grew up with don't seem strong anymore and just because a smell is different than what you're used to, it seems strong.  Kind of like accents.  You don't really think of the people in the area where you grew up as having an accent . . . it's everyone else who does!
