Why do millipedes contain green glowing phosphorus?

I cut a millipedes in half once and it bleed ,bright green phosphorus blood.Was this really blood or do millipedes contain green glowing phosphorus.I though it may be some type of mutation.I cut it is poor light and it really lite the room up.What going on here.

    Millipods or centipods have open blood circulatory system. There blood is a mixture of blood and  fluid, that contains calcium and phosphorous and called hemolymph.

    Yes, therefore it has a glowing nature because of the presence of phosphorous.
