  1. I think it's often a "surprise."  These things happen. . .

  2. its called an "oops!"

you know, the dad is involved too, the mom doesnt just do it herself!

  3. lol dude it happens, so what if shes 47?

chill back bro, id be thankful your having another sibling

my grampa and his brother are 20 years apart

  4. sometimes i guess they want a baby because their kids arnt anymore? lol

  5. I was about 13 when my youngest brother was born.  My mom told me  he was a miracle baby for her as she had not planned to have anymore and didn't think she could.  In otherwords--OOPS!!!

  6. I think your mom maybe had s*x... not sure though, what with all the invitro-fertilization stuff going on.

  7. ahaha

that happened with my parents twice

i think our whole family  were made out of  accidents though

she got pregnant at 17 with my brother then she got pregnant with me 12 years later. Then 12 years later she got pregnant with my little sister.

    :]

  8. it could be on mistake or it could be that she wanted to add a new addition to the family.

i know how you feel when I was 15 my mom had a baby but she was only 35 cause she had me at a young age.

  9. My son was an "oops!"...I was 18.  He's 10 right now and I'm about to get married.  Chances are, we'll wait a few years before we have more kids.

My friend was the youngest. Her two older brother were in their 20's. She was an obvious "oops!" The Oops! pregnancies can come first...or last.

Oops! pregnancies and 2nd marriages are the reasons why sweetie. =)  Congratulations on your new soon-to-be sibling =)

  10. Sometimes it just happens. There are 12 years b/w me and one brother and 17 b/w me and the other. Word of advice, going that long as an only child then having a sibling takes A LOT of getting used to.

  11. So your 14.. your not a little kid anymore.. There are a lot of emotions that are going through your moms head.. (that is, if it was not a mistake...) You are going into High School this year right?  You have only 4 more years until you are out of the house for good!  This can be really scary for mothers..  Since you are her only son, she has realized that her little baby is no longer going to be with her.. Don't think of this new baby as a replacement of you.. More so, think of this as her way to deal with you not needing her anymore..

Some woman need reassurance that they are needed.. You are getting to an age where you don't really need your mother to spoon feed you everything..  You are no where near done learning, but your mother may feel that she is done teaching you everything that you need to know in life.. She needs some one to be there for he when you are no longer around..

You sound pretty bummed about no longer being an only child, but don't worry.  Everything is going to be alright.. Make sure you are a good older brother.. You won't see him/her very much, but teach him/her new things and always be there for them... They are going to look up to you...

I really hope this helped.. GOOD LUCK!

  12. Things happen. Parents may not always be prepared for the consequences, and you have every right to be miffed. But take this as an opportunity to rise above. Don't make your parents guilty for their choice to have another child. Instead, support them and have the wonderful experience of having a younger sister or brother. It will be hard at times. Really hard. But this event won't ruin your life- it will enrich it. Good luck.

  13. Maybe she enjoyed raising you so much she thought that she would like to do it again. My older brother is 10 years older than I, when I asked my mom why she just said that she did not think that she could handle two small kids at the same time. I think that it was best for both of us, we were both like only children growing up however now that we are older we are good friends.
