Question:

Why do morons who don't understand the word respect whine about Brett's choices?

I'm sick of people making statements without putting any thought behind them. How many sports figures-- in any sport have given 16 years to the same team- never laying down-- never feigning injury but still collecting the big bucks, actually earning their salary and still maintain "good role model " status outside of work? not many. too many supposed superstars embarrass themselves both on and off the field. but not Brett. How many sports stars have come back out of retirement to continue on? he only retired a few short months ago, with all the past contemplation of his retirement , the past few season's , Packer management should have known there was a possibility of his return-- a good possibility. He wants to play-- very few stars have (in any sport) deserve that much respect-- Packer management threw him to the wolves (jets) out of fear that he'll continue to be a star. to them it was a joke. I hope Brett brings success to the Jets-- immediately-- just so McCarthy and Thompson can lose their jobs for making the 2nd worst trade in NFL history ( atlanta trading Brett to the Pack in 91 being the first) GO BRETT!!!!!!

  1. You speak with no intelligence.  The problem here is he un-retired after the draft, after the bulk of free agency signings.  The Packers needed to make decisions on what they must do going forward without Brett - how they design the team around Aaron (via draft and free agency).  Furthermore, the Packer's salary cap which had been budgeted for without Brett's compensation.  Good/bad role model, faking injury, etc. is NOT the issue.  Sounded like Brett was holding grudges and wasn't willing to look beyond what he felt was his mistreatment by the Packers.  For the last three years or so, he has been contemplating retirement putting management on the edge ... maybe even forcing the Packers to draft a rookie QB sooner than they would have liked.  Farve can't seem to make up his mind.  He is to blame for his sullied reputation.  He IS a whiner.  He has lost his respect!!

  2. good thing your opinion is not unbiased. They asked Favre several times if he was coming back. While your rant may be correct in he has never embarrassed the packers, it is only true up to this past year. He has made a mockery of a team that asked him and asked him what his plans were and when he said he was retired they moved on. The NFL is a business, not a place for whiny divas to get whatever they want. If teh Packers moved on, which they did, planned and DRAFTED for the future, which they did, then they did not do anything wrong. Get off your knee pads for Brett and see this for what it really is. A whiny diva grasping at one last glory day.....

side note...odds are he will bomb in NY and the NY press will eat him alive. Have a nice day in your purple sky world...

  3. You answered your own question with the third word!

  4. Your kidding right.

You make brett sound like a holy saint!

    When hes really the opposite!

He retired, said he had no more to give to the nfl. They asked him at least 10 times if he was coming back and he said repeatedly, NO, NO, NO.

Then, the Packers, moved on making rodgers the starter and drafting qbs, moving towards the future.

Then Favre decides randomly he wants to come back and puts the Packers and himself in a very sticky situation. It is Favre fault that this whole situation happened.

No he never embarrased them at all. All he did was get addicted to pain killers, drunk in Atlanta, lead league in INT, ruin their superbowl dreams, and be a whiney diva hoping for some more money and glory. (as itsme 6922 said)

Your ranting and raving is so biased, you are completely blind to what really happened!

So you can go on blaming everyone (packers, mcarthy, thompson, jets) but Favre for his own mistakes.

How do you even know he deserves respect. You dont know him! All you know is what you see on tv!

I hope me and itsme6922, sgoldperson, and Big D  talked some sense into you.

    Good day.

  5. Yeah Brett never embarrassed himself off the field, just that ADDICTION TO PAIN KILLERS and that c**p he has pulled through the last month or so. Oh I know he never did anything embarrassing on the field, just set the INT record and cost his team how many playoff games?

    Brett Favre-The Cult of Personality.

One last thing. LEARN NFL HISTORY GENIUS. The WORST TRADE was Walker to the Vikings for all that they gave to the Cowboys. EVERYONE knows that. You and the Holy Church of Brett Favre Man-Love are the only ones who thinks either trade involving Brett cracks the top 100. Maybe the first one does, but you have to consider that Favre was a drunk who didn't fit in with Atlanta as well, bet you forgot about his drinking problem in Atlanta.
