Why is it when they fly by your ear, they like to linger?

  1. They are afraid you won't hear them if they buzz anywhere else.  They are awfully small.

  3. They don't. Mosquitos are sensitive to the heat and other energy that radiates from your body. Our head is one of the primary sources, due to the high concentration of sensory organs and brain activity. They "buzz" around other parts of your body in the same way that they do around your head, but you only hear them when they're close to your head because that's where your ears are. =)
