Why do mosquitoes bite some people..

cause like every time I go out on my back yard after 6 i get bitten a lot, and my mom will sit next to me & not get bitten at all

why?

They are attracted to some carbon chains, especially carbon dioxide.  So some folks just put off scents they like better.

You have fresher blood and you're younger.  They can tell for some weird reason.  You don't get bitten as much as you age but they still get you no matter what.  Keep someone younger around to suffer the bites next go round.  Smile!!

Same thing happens to me. My friends tell me its because they like dark meat!

Wow, lemon juice suggestion sounds a little crazy. And the blood type!? I have negative blood type and still get bitten severely! As for keeping younger people around, my kids (who are more the 25 yrs younger then me) don’t get bitten as much as I do.

I hear a lot that it’s the smell that our skin extracts and it has nothing to do with the blood type.

Science still hasn't solved that mystery definitively unfortunately.

One current theory of why mosquitoes "bite" some people more than others is that diet makes one more or less attractive. Dr Randolph Morgan, director of the Insectarium at the Cincinnati Zoo, claimed that regular intake of some materials (such as yeast), which ultimately are exuded through one's pores, changes our smell and has proven effective in deterring mosquito "bites". More recent thinking is that substances in perfumes, soap residues, facial make-up, deodorants, and other compounds on the skin resulted in someone becoming more or less attractive to mosquitoes.

This sounds weird but some people have sour tasting blood.... Try drinking lemon juice..... It really works!!!! Its my grandmothers old trick... I sware I never get bug bites

ITS THE SCENT PEOPLE GIVE OFF  PLUS THEY LOVE WHEN U WEAR DARK CLOTHES AND PERFUME OR COLOGNE... WEAR LIGHT CLOTHES THEY DONT BOTHER AS MUCH..

because of the type of blood they have... A Positive is more likley to get bit.... while O positive is not... A Positive is sweeter.... and i heard if you eat a lot of garlic they will not bite!
