  1. Because sometimes its easier to bury your head in the sand than to challenge the corruptness of the American government, dont ya think?

Oh and the Americans are very patriotic aren't they.

  2. Perhaps some people would say that the Tube bombings in London were 'engineered' but we in England trust out Government to tell the truth, don't we?

  3. I don't know. I question everything. Especially from the government. Our founding fathers said it was our duty to question the government.

They said if we do not we will not be able to stay a free country.

You should never not question. Believing the official story is not a bad thing but believing anything without question shows that they have a sense of ultimate trust in big brother and a nationalist (instead of patriotic) attitude.

I for one have found a lot of holes in the official story. This does not mean I think the government did it or even that I think they knew it was going to happen - I just don't know. There is too much bad information on both side of the isle.

One thing I do know for a fact is: anything is possible.

  4. I love it when these poor deceived souls  tell us they know the governments fairy tale is true because they were there(in New York City) when the planes hit. What rationale! Yeah, I was there when the magician  sawed the lady in half and when he pulled a quarter our from behind my best friend's  ear. No one can tell me it was a slight of hand trick! I saw the whole thing! I was there by golly!

  5. Mainly because the general public has very little access to information, even if they are seeking it.  Further, the "mainstream" media has sketched out a fairly consistent story and has not raised a great deal of question about the "official" story.  Still, it's only logical to draw conclusions based on the evidence that is presented.  One should be careful to take any particular theory or argument as an accurate depiction of something that happened.  On most topics, very few regular citizens - even well informed ones - have enough information to draw very many certain conclusions about anything.

  6. Because they believe their government without question, can't think for themselves I suppose.

  7. What's the alternative for them? Having to do something about it? Maybe if more pets or celebrities died, THEN they would be up in arms! The "BritneyTruthers" of 911 would dominate the air waves.

  8. because what choice do u have.people are busy living their lives and its hard to be able to know which version of events u choose to believe.then again mabey we believe whats easiest to believe or easiest to want to believe.if the conspircy theorists are right and the goverment did it then there a bunch of evil mother fu.k..s.then again they might justify it with we dont know what they know so it was done in the national interest.

  9. It is easier to believe then to question. Then again: Read My Lips, No Child Left Behind.

Not many people are good at math. Most lack adequate thinking skills.

  10. Because they are brain washed and are terrified of examining evidence that will make them more terrified. People disbelieve the idea outright on the PRINCIPLE that our leaders care for us. Principles matter but get in the way of examination of the facts sometimes. Dogs are very principled animals who continue to be loyal to a master who kicks them daily.

  11. People who are undereducated should at least keep an open mind.  Most people are undereducated, yet most people have a closed mind.  An authority figure no more intelligent than themselves told them what to believe so they just accepted it because to question it would entail making a concerted effort to educate them selves and that would take time away from the television or wherever they go to stay in the dark intellectually while operating under the delusion that “somebody” is watching the store.  Well, guess what?  The store’s full of thieves and the owners out to lunch.

  12. The same reason that they will vote for Obama, or McCain  in November without question. These two candidates represent the worst of both parties of who they were running against...and they both got the nomination...hmm. The media pushed the creeps, and the people did just what they were told to do by MSM and voted for them. They are sheep!

I think Americans these days are even more gullable than Germans were with Hitler, and blindly believing everything that the media tells them. The nightly news has turned into a propeganda machine, and the people are eating it up. I have had many heated discussions at work with people who think that the nightly news is gosphel. They close their minds and won't even listen, or think about any other possibility.

I don't understand why they don't question many things that we are doing as a nation. If they don't start seeing what the world bank has planned for us, we are going to lose everything that previous Americans died securing for us.

  13. I am not sure they do - I hope most have more sense by now (given the track record of the Bush administration)... my impression is that most people don't like being lied to or treated like idiots, though some will put up with it indefinitely!

  14. They don't. as someone already mentioned the latest polling shows only 16% of Americans believe the official story. 36% believe it was an inside job. 48% simply doubt the official story.

As for the 16%... what makes them tick?

"Denial (also called abnegation) is a defense mechanism postulated by Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence."

    One answerer said:

"I choose to believe my own eyes as I watched the planes hit the buildings."

Right, we all saw that. But then what happened? Then this individual chose NOT to believe his own eyes, as he watched the buildings get demolished with thousands of people inside them.

    See how denial works?

  15. The same reason

people stand around and praise the Emperor's new suit.

Its all mind games and flim-flam!

Bust the emperor for indecent exposure!

  16. I did question, researched the facts, and came to the conclusion that 19 terrorists, funded by al-Qaida, hijacked four planes; flying two into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers and crew rebelled.

  17. because i was there and lived it in nyc in manhattan.  i can add my own  personal testimony and observations to it.

  18. NOBODY in America believes their government without question.   Everybody here is critical of our government.  It's our national pasttime.   Most Americans don't believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories  because these theories are nonsense.   We Americans have enough sense to recognize bullshi-t when we see it.   And, these 9/11 conspiracy theorists are full of it.

  19. Because we have no reason not to believe it.

Plus, conspiracy theories are a bit outlandish, really-- let's face it, does anyone REALLY think that the leaders of our country would consider it an acceptable sacrifice to let thousands of American die and watch some of America's finest perish in the aftermath to justify a war in Iraq?

It's never been done before, and I doubt it would be done now.

    God Bless America!!

  20. Why do _you_ choose to believe the 9/11 conspiracy frauds without question?

Anybody notice the extreme irony of a 9/11 conspiracy theorist thinking other people are gullible?

  21. Because we chose to believe the scientific evidence instead of a crack pot conspiracy theory. Also to believe it was "staged" would be very disrespectful to the victims.

  22. I don't know.  I still don't understand it.  I suppose it's easier for them to NOT do any research on the subject and ridicule those of us who do.

What exactly is so hard to believe about the government trying to deceive us.  That is actually the NORM, historically governments CANNOT be trusted.  And MUST be watched closely.

Love your country, but never trust its government."

    - Robert A. Heinlein

  23. The alternative would be to learn about historical facts such as Operation Ajax, and the meaning of the Constitution, and to consider the possibility that our own government is our nation's greatest enemy. At some point doing that would make people realize they each one of us has some complicity in allowing our government to do the things it has (and continues to do) in our names and with our money.

I doubt many Americans are able to withstand that level of self-examination.

  24. Because reading all of this and thinking about it and questioning things is all too much for many people, it's not truly there fault, it's just that it would be too much for them to see it any other way!

    http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-P.RtCqAic...

Following all the links takes too much time and people don't have it in a world run it the way it is today, maybe one day people will wake up enough to see that there is another way to do things, but that would not be good for the few who wish to control all and everything!

  25. There will always be other theories about what exactly happened. When someone proves them to be true, I will believe them. Until then, I know what I saw.

  26. News flash .... most Americans don't.

Most recent poll I saw (2006) only 16% believe the government was truthful about 9/11.

The other 84% had various ranges of belief including full inside job, merely intentionally looking the other way, etc.

Most Americans won't yet speak up publicly because they are afraid of being ridiculed.  That is changing.  The myth that it is unpatriotic to question the government about 9/11 is gradually disintegrating.  People are becoming less afraid of the prejudicial use of the term "conspiracy theorist".

People are starting to figure out that the war on terror has been grossly overblown.

  27. Because people think they are supposed to follow the leader without question. It's just not "Americans" though. It's just the way people are. That's how Hitler got in power.

  28. "chose to believe their government"?

No, I choose to believe my own eyes as I watched the planes hit the buildings.

What you choose is to live in a fantasy world, where it's easier to blame "The Big Bad Government" for all of your problems in life.

It must suck to be you.

  29. The Doctor hummm are you sure Your not Rosie O'Donnel If you not her then your one of the Tin Foil Hat members  that still thinks the government did it.

  30. They have a "My country...right or wrong mentality."

I think Adolf Hitler most aptly observed this disillusionment when he observed:

"It is fortunate for those in power that people do not think."

I'm sure George W. Bush and his cohorts would snickeringly agree 100%.
