Why do most ants kiss each other when they meet on the way? What is meaning?

  1. ants find the path of the whole pack through scent; it is but normal to clash into each other since they are following the same scent :D try doing this, in a path where a pack of ants line up, try putting some toothpaste on the path, see how they suddenly scatter as if they dont know where theyre going.

  2. they're not kissing for sure. they're gossipping.

  3. its not kissing,its change of information to follow correct route. the ants follow some order and they produce certain hormones which they will exchange with other if they want to follow
