i am a bus driver in the midlands ...i do my very best to be helpful to passengers ...i always smile i am always polite but everyday i get abuse in some form or another from at least 2 3rds of my passengers.....some days the bus can be late but this is due to factors beyond my control....sometimes i dont have enough change to break that huge £20 note u hand me for a £1.30 ticket...i smile ...i say sorry..so why do i get abuse ?..is it my fault that the bus breaks down?......maybe i have just been unlucky..or..maybe its just the way that society has become so mean minded and cruel...even so i will be driving my bus again tomorrow with a smile on my face

  1. They are abusive to everyone not just bus drivers; rudeness, aggression  and stupidity are now deeply engrained in our culture and are the only forms of communication for many.

  2. In the states we just throw them off the bus or have them arrested.

  3. Never been to Britain, but if I ever do visit I will be sure to take your bus. This sounds like a bad comedy! Maybe you could write a short story or a play about this. Please give me some credit when it goes big though! Thanks

  4. Do they? How horrible!  Well, I know that in London I just wouldn't expect a bus driver to be pleasant...in my experience they are just so rude when you ask a question or ask them if they stop at a certain point...I dunno, maybe they just expect you to be rude and get there before you...commuters are so stressed and unpleasant!
