Question:

Why do most creationists get so mad at evolution? ?

Scientists didn't just pick the idea out of a hat and say "yep, we'll just go by this", so far, there has been nothing to prove evolution wrong. Do you understand the concept? Do you have the same level of knowledge on evolution science as big scientists? Or do you just automatically register that the idea goes against your views and get mad because you can't prove it wrong?

Science isn't an Atheist thing, if God existed than he created science, it's not like you can criticise science as our thing... and since so much of science seems to go against your holy book, you just reject science...

  1. Most people have opinions.  They don't know why they have them, but heaven help you if your opinion is different to theirs.

  2. I'm Catholic and I know evolution is a fact.

  3. Dumb people get mad when they are frustrated by the facts.

  4. because there scared of the truth

evolution proves there is no god

if Adam and eve were put on this earth a long *** time ago

why did cavemen come after them

and why does it say to pay the government in the bible?

because its created by the government to keep people busy from the truth

you need to see the big picture that the hole world is one big conspiracy

  5. It contradicts what it says in the Bible. For some people, that's wrong...

  6. Most people in general don't truly understand the theory of evolution to begin with, they think it includes far more than it does and that's where a lot of the misunderstandings Christians have about it come from.  Most of the large religious organizations have accepted the theory of evolution as being non-contradictory with their beliefs except for the fundamentalist and evangelicals who are biblical literalists.  There is no way to reconcile pretty much 90% of modern science with biblical literalism, the bible spoke in parables to teach moral lessons, to reject that and say its word for word the absolute truth is absurd.

  7. Only the biblical literalists find fault with evolution.

  8. I think the obvious reason is Creationists are lower-life forms that haven't evolved very high on the Evolutionary Ladder.

Indeed! How using reason and logic could be a sin against God----as God would have given both to us in the first place-- is beyond me.  Can't understand irrational thinking like that. And if our reason or logic be faulty, is that an excuse to cross over into the madness of the irrational?  And if our reason be faulty and our brains inadequte to comphrehend God, whose fault is that?  God's. Don't blame me if God couldn't make a better species.

  9. I reject evolution  because I can

  10. For one thing, most creationists understand their Bible roughly as well as they understand evolutionary biology - not very well at all.

For another, it rarely occurs to these people to wonder if God lied in the evidence of his creation.

  11. Because they can't admit they're wrong.

  12. Evolutionists do not bring about anger in me. It is more like amusement.

The Lord "my" God created the heavens and the earth some 6,000 years ago. I have no problem with that, but obviously you do. Open the Bible and allow God to provide illumination for you. Or would you consider that too risky?

  13. Evolution does not say there is no God. It just allows for the possibility. That alone is enough to drive some people mad.

(That is a paraphrased version of a quote I once heard. I cannot remember who said it, but it's very true.)

  14. I know what you mean.  My mother was the most intolerant person I've ever known when it came to anything that she didn't agree with.

When evolution was the subject anytime, anywhere she'd react pretty violently toward anyone who even suggested it was a possibility.

So, with that for a role-model, I decided to learn more about it.  Sure enough!  It makes the most sense scientifically, spiritually and naturally, evolution makes sense to me.

  15. I totally agree with you.

  16. I grew up believing is evolution, makes sense to me. However, it is still just a theory, there are gaping wholes of info. Still, I see it as pretty possible. I could also see creation as being possible. I guess, since I'm not in high school anymore, I just really don't care about how we started. More interested in where we go from here. I will be sure to ask when I meet Jesus tho :)

  17. For the same reason the Tooth Fairy hates dentists.

  18. Well, You jest can't fix stupid !

  19. Because they missed the Evolution train and now they can only play with the thpethial peepole..

  20. it is strange that christians reject scientists views and studies but are quite happy to use all the free medical treatment that the scientists discovered

  21. So far there is nothing to prove evolution right.

  22. I have no problem with evolution.

  23. Because they hate not being in charge of everyone else, xx

  24. All the big words.

  25. most creationists get mad at evolution because basically it discredits the bible right at the very start, the bible is supposed to be the revealed truth, this obviously isnt true if it states nothing about evolution. so yeah they get pissed about the fact that it says the bible is false.

in the bible humans are central, they have value and meaning. and in evolution we just happened to evolve by chance.

they refuse to accept the evidence or even incorporate and accept it into their religion, its just against their believes.

  26. With just the small amount of study I've done on evolution, I can see it can't be denied. Creationists hate it because it proves their silliness wrong.

  27. Creationists just fail

  28. I'm not mad at the theory nor do i hate science. i just believe that God created us and science is a tool to help us understand His creations. i just don't put science higher than God because science has flaws.

  29. http://pathlights.com/ce_encyclopedia/sc...

    ^That was good for a laugh^

But seriously creationists don't even dedicate time to studying religious text. Why would you think that they would spend time on a topic that contradicts their beliefs? Education and Religious fanaticism don't mix.

    Edit: From the above site.

"2 - This is the evolutionary formula for making life:

Dirt + water + time = living creatures."

Hahahahaha ha ha! Talk about over "simplyfied". I hate to image the target audence of this intensely in depth research.

    hahaha.

  30. Interestingly... a few years ago (and man do I ever wish I kept that magazine!!), the National Geographic reported a "recent" scientific discovery that it's POSSIBLE that WE (some of us rather) were the ones who evolved into apes and not the other way around.... I remember thinking it was a fasincatin article! I wish I had it on me!! GRRRRRR! I subscribe to the theory of evolution, we are constantly changing to adapt to various countries (immigration), climate change (global warming), food supply/types, etc... we are a constantly evolving and changing species. It's wonderful!

  31. "Most people in general don't truly understand the theory of evolution to begin with, they think it includes far more than it does and that's where a lot of the misunderstandings Christians have about it come from."

Given some of the things I read on here, atheists have got nobody but themselves to blame for that.
