think its cool? I am going to 5th grade. Every year in school since i was 3 or 4 people talk to us about drugs. After they do everybody in my class says things like they are never going to do drugs and stuff. But teenagers think they are cool. Why? I know they want o be cool but what happened to the stuff they learned in the 5th grade?

  1. sometimes i wonder this too....

  2. Not everyone thinks its "cool".

Most of the time, people that do drugs are viewed as "burnouts" or "losers".  They usually don't do it because they think its cool either.  Its usually because their friends are doing it and so they just say, "what the heck?" or because they're bored.  Sometimes its because its the last thing left that can make them feel good.

  3. mabe because @ that age you only learn the BAD about drugs

but when you get to be a teenager you learn good and bad of drugs like how they feel

    and stuff

in 5th grade i learnd drugs were all bad

but some drugs like weed isnt actully THAT bad

i think kids at that age should learn both g00d and bad of drugs

not only bad because it brain washes then

and no its not cause its "cool"

its because it makes you feel good

  4. I am a teenager(15) and I don't think it is cool one bit.

I learned alot of stuff throughout my school years and I will NEVER do drugs. IT'S STUPID!!

  5. I don't know but you should judge people if they have to take drugs!  (not saying you were or anything)

I have to take sterodes because I have asthma (its in my inhaler)

Some people have to take medical marajauna (not me)

  6. The kids are anti-drug because of inculcation and scare tactics (whatever the case may be, they're certainly not thinking about it like rational adults), neither of which is a match to being immersed in a world with drugs.  That's why drug prevention programs are largely a failure.

I take drugs because some of them are a great addition to my life.  I kid you not when I say that fun, honesty, insight, courage, and energy can all be bought and ingested.

EDIT: Of course I don't NEED drugs to experience any of the above.  The exception though is honesty.  There is nothing like drug-induced honesty.  It's unique and difficult to explain.  If flight is the ultimate expression of physical freedom, this kind of honesty could be the ultimate expression of mental freedom.
