Why do most girls in Junior High carry bags?

I never wore a bag, and I'm going into grade nine!!

I never carried anything more than I needed, either. Be yourself and do what you feel is good for you. You won't look strange without a bag!

if you're talking about purses...i think many girls start to carry bags when growing up...junior high is when you start to see it...as it's the "awkward stage" and where peers really influence them.  high school kids do it more and so junior high girls do it too.  

they do it to carry their makeup (which they're starting to wear), cell phones, wallet, and whatever else.

Girls may at some point during the month have a uniquely female issue to contend with. That is one reason they carry bags -- if they don't have time to go back to their locker to get their stuff and get to the bathroom and take care of it between classes, especially if their school is as gestapo as some of the ones around here -- giving a child a tardy even when the parent signs off on the tardy saying the child should not get a mark for taking care of necessary personal bathroom business.

because young kids are drones and if some one does something they all do it i miss the day of the gothic people they were different now its i guess emo scene and what ever Else you all call your selves

I wear a bag all the time,because you can carry your books,your makeup,lotion,your cell fone,magazines,school books,books? Its wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more stylish than a bookbag (no offence) and just I think its more comfy...plus you can carry more stuff. I never really liked bookbags,to tell you the truth...

In High School I always carried my trusty Eastpack bookbag...made a perfect pillow for dozing off in study hall!!
