Why do most of shakespeares plays in end tragedies?

  1. Most of them don't, unless you are constantly reading only his tragedies. The reason he wrote tragedies though, is because they were both popular at the time, and because tragedy is one of the easiest forms of art that can be used to both please and emotionally move people at the same time.


  2. Because that's what they were, tragedies.

    The comedies were good (did Midsummer not too long ago) but for some reason you never see those taught in schools.

  3. i think its more realistic than good endings.

  4. weren't tragedies a sign of the time? I thought actors performed tragedies often and Shakespeare just happended to have the best scripts.

  5. Only the tragedies and some of the  histories do, the comedies and romances and court masques do not.
