  1. I have called several people on their misinformation and personally I got tired of them sending me hate mail because of it. I try not to be overly harsh with anyone, but I have a low tolerance for stupidity. I also keep my answers private because of the childish people here that will just go to every question you have answered and make stupid remarks. Yes I keep my email and answers private because I'm not here to network with people, just to try to give honest open minded answers which is more than I can say for many people here.

  2. Interesting, yours had always been blocked until you e-mailed me last week. I was surprised you hadn't much sooner.

Makes me think that you're getting bored with just the Q&A.

  3. yes see the first poster here (totally clueless answer):

    Good Luck...

  4. I guess the same reason your questions and answers are private

  5. i've been both sides of it, and still can't decide which is better

personally, if someone wants to call me on something, it's better to do in public to have it as more than a 1 on 1 conversation

(and yes, my sportster does put out 98 hp.... you've emailed me on that to call me on it magz, lol, next time i'm at dyno days i'll have to email you a printout)

i get a ridiculous number of violations and suspensions, so hiding my stuff from the trolls may well help.

i also get alot of tech questions emailed to me as well, and again, i think those sort of things are best in the open so others can help or learn from the conversation as well.

but above all else, people who read my posts and know i'm a dealer have emailed me for business, and i've made some contacts and inked a few deals.  so there are goods and bads, i lean towards thinking accepting the email is good for me (because i like money, and inking a deal makes me money) but i can totally understand why people do turn off their profiles &/or emails.  i'm sure i'll get pissed off at something yet again and shut it off at some point

  6. Do people really make unfounded claims on here? Well, you just burst my bubble.

  7. You can email me if you like.  You already did once.  I'm the guy who doesn't know how to ride a sportbike.

  8. Huh? My email is open. So what if I like to do 160 through the twisties on my Harley?

  9. Because they probably are trolls.

    speaking of.

Terrie quit being a little spamer. You've been in every question I've read so far just saying the same thing.

You give no help you just post for the points?

    sad....

  10. I've answered questions before where I had to look up specs or instructions in a manual, plus did research online checking sources of parts and prices, only to have the questioner send me an email for more info.  Then, after I provided several more detailed answers via email, she didn't even bother to pick the best answer, and the voters ended up picking an idiot who wasn't even close to being right.

Sorry, dude, I realize that really doesn't relate to your question, but it really pis*** me off some of the c**p that these idiots pull on this site.  Some days I wonder if it's worth the effort to try and help people.  I just read a question where one of the answers from a "top contributor" was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard.  It wasn't something that would put the rider in danger, so I let it slide, but it's sad what passes for intelligent answers on this site.

Okay, I'm venting again.  Yes, I think people hide because they know they're stupid.

  11. Some people, including myself, don't want to  or have the time to start reading and answering a bunch of e-mails.

This isn't because they think they are right or wrong or are afraid of anyone or anything like that.

We give an answer and that's it.  Accept it or don't.

  12. hey ninja attack squad leader

  14. there are some real freeks that e mail you after answering a question , and i get way to many e mails during the day like thousands

  15. I don't post in this category a lot, but I do allow messaging. I don't show my email addy because I get enough troll-mail via the message system here from people who may disagree with what I post in any particular category.

  16. exactly i dont even know how they can ask or abswer some of the BS they come up with This c**p is mostly harmless unless it some zit telling how to do a wheelie-Rev to 1450 and dump the clutch

  17. I think you have sent me mail before when i said something that you did not agree with.  IM is private because i do not use it very often.  Yes a lot of people have a good reason for keeping it private while others do this because they cause trouble.

  18. I just started here so i really dont know they must know they are full of it and dont want to be reminded 50 times a day what an idiot they are.
