Seriously. I'll see a car ahead of me and they'll just cut Right across. No blinker. i see later it is a Oregon driver. Or, the speed limit will be 60, i'll be going 65, and they'll zoom right past me AND give me the death look while they pass. like they're mad at Me when i'm at least Close to the speed limit!

did i mention they tail gate Very often? i had one incident where i was going 75 (in a 70) and an oregon driver got very close to my end bumper, i mean, i could barely see their headlights in my rearview mirror, and they were looking all pissy, signaling ME to get out of THEIR way.

why should we have to be so accomodating to someone who is like that?

i mean, let's say ur at the grocery store. someone behind u is Very Close behind u. trying to make u get out of ur spot so they can go. do u move?

why are they above the law?

what makes them so special?

WHY?

  1. Its not just Oregon it is all over................

The 57 percent of American drivers who say they don't use their turn signals for changing lanes have a variety of excuses.

In a survey commissioned by Response Insurance, these were the reasons given:

42 percent said they don't have time.

23 percent said they are too lazy.

17 percent said they don't because they forget to turn it off.

12 percent said they change lanes to frequently to bother.

11 percent said it's not important.

8 percent said they don't because others don't.

7 percent said not doing it adds to excitement.

The survey also found 62 percent of men leave the turn signal alone when changing lanes; the number was 53 percent for women. Seventy-one percent of drivers ages 18-24 don't signal, but 51 percent of those 55 to 64 do.

  2. It's not just in Oregon.    There are stupid drivers everywhere.

  3. I live in Oregon, so I understand. If you are driving the speed limit people will ALWAYS drive at least 5 - 10 miles faster. If you are in the right lane then you drive the speed limit. If you are in the far left lane you can drive around 20 miles over the speed limit since it is the passing lane, but people drive in the passing lane even though they shouldn't. The police on monitor the Middle and far left lane, if you stay in the right lane you almost won't ever get a ticket, but you have to pull off to the right when you are getting a ticket so people seem to think you get a ticket in the right lane. People will tailgate really close if you are in a lane where you can speed up. The right lane is your safest bet.

  4. Oh it's not just oregon drivers. I'm from Atlanta and see this sort of driving all the time. It's because they feel that their time is more precious than yours so they pretend you don't exist. I've heard people say to me that they don't use their blinker because people will "never let them over if they signal" which is not true about everyone. However, we just have to keep on truckin through life and know that karma will get them in the end.

  5. Many people today are like animals. They have contempt for the law and also common courtesy. Many of them play that dumb rap music and other horrible music that should be illegal, especially at high volume levels.

It's best to let them GO AROUND YOU if at all possible and let them all kill each other.

  6. I think your a little senstive about this. Who made you the worlds driving expert.............

  7. Unfortunately.....this problem isn't exclusive to Oregon....it's all over America!

What you have to do...is..just get yourself from point A..to point B...in one piece...and don't let these idiots get you frustrated to the point that you want to retaliate...because...that will only make things worse.

Just be a defensive driver..and don't look at the fools who are making gestures at you...that will only encourage them to take it further...because..if they see that what they do bothers you...then...they will feed on that.

    Good luck...be safe!

  8. I'm assuming you were in the fast lane, if not than that guy is a pr*ck.  Otherwise, there are road courtesy that everyone should follow... such as "slow traffic move right".  If there is someone who is driving faster than you and you are in the fast lane, you should move over (you shouldn't be in the fast lane anyways).
