think that Mexico is still a "third world country" ??? I mean I´m currently living in mexico and honestly It´s just as good as the US, Canada, etc. Sure it has it´s flaws but witch country doesn´t. Over here we´ve got blockbusters, theaters, BIG malls, Supers, very VERY nice houses I mean the second richest man in the word IS from Mexico. I lived in the US 10 years (I´m 13) so I can compare and I hate how over there the just pass the bad parts of other countries and everyone thinks we sleep on dirt. So I just want to know why??? Do u think like that???

If u need more info just ask. Thanks and be honest.

  1. Because they never been there and it's portrayed as poor by the media.

Rurual areas are poor, but urban areas aren't.

    like most countires

  2. Maybe 'cause of "illegal immigrants"' and "crossing the border" and such. It's telling Americans that Mexicans don't want to be in their country. Besides, most Americans haven't been to Mexico.

  3. I know what you mean.  People in my country thought to this day, China is one of those rice growing farming countries where people run around ching chong with triangular hats on bowing to cows.  Then they saw the Beijing Olympics.  It's just a lack of education and arrogance, that's all, nothing to it.

  4. Because the poverty that does exist in Mexico is all anyone in America pays attention to. But by those standards, America could be considered a third world country if we look at it the same way.

It's because they're idiots. What do you expect?

  5. It stems from the same idea as any other topic. Americans are simply uninformed. The average American gets a high school/college education in History. Not Culture. Students are only taught what the government feels is important, which is mostly about America and wars.
