Why do most people take gherkins out of their burgers?

I've noticed that everyone I go to McDonalds with, whenever I go, they always take the gherkins out of the burgers...I don't do this because I don't think they're horrible or disgusting whatever...but what is it that people find so disgusting about them. If you don't like them tell me why!?

i don't like them, i think they have a funny taste to them. i would take it out of anything, not just fast food!

It could be because they're hot and they don't taste as good, almost as if the heat makes them more sour.

Most restaurants will serve them on the side, cold, so you can add them yourself.

I take mine out cos it's just that you know there in there and that crunch when you forget to take them out and there disgusting.

I don't but my family seem to dump them on me. I like olives and peppers but again I seem to end up being the family dust bin when these are served. I draw the line at chillies

I love the gherkin in my burger. It's one of the things that makes the burger a wee bitty interesting!! Fair enough, a lot of folk don't like them but I love them....The thing that really gets me wound up is when folk think that it's ok to spit them out into the street. Jings have they no manners?? There are loads of bins around, absolutely no need to litter the street with bits of gherkin!!!!!!!

It's stupid. You could just tell the person you order you food from that you don't want them included in your burger.

Gherkins, or pickles as I call them, are pretty good, and I don't understand why people wouldn't want them. But that's just me.

i  dislike gurkins.  i have never tried them from macdonalds though so i could from mcds but i just like my burger without so there is no need to leave them in. i guess its just a habbit. kinda paranoyed that there in their even though you prob cant taste em.
