  1. because people are free

  2. people feel iritable in  hot weather, also in the winter people stay indoors

  3. Long bright evenings + Boredom

  4. If any of them decide to start again, they should get the fire hoses on them like they do in other Countries, as I am sick of these people causing havoc to others. Then they should round them up and throw them into a dungeon, if we still have them. No more of this pussycat nonsense, with velvet gloves on.The heat must get to them if it ever gets hot in this Country.

  5. It's hot and tempers flare easily.

Also, fine weather makes it easier to persuade people to stage a riot outdoors.

  6. To paraphrase Shakespeare horribly "now these hot days is the mad blood stirring", Romeo & Juliet.

I think Mr. Shakespeare is turning in his grave, sorry.

I think everyone's already answered it though- hot days make hot heads, have you ever been in the beer garden of a bar on a summer day? Someone brushes past someone, their beer spills and a fight breaks out.

I like how people have said 'because it's nicer to riot in the sun rather than the rain' :Dlol! Especially true in the UK!

  7. hot bodies cause hot heads.

Also, in the winter months our bodies slow down, so we don't have the energy to fight. We want to sleep.

  8. who wants to riot in the rain it would be so much more fun ith the sun blasting down drinking ya beer and throwing the bottles afterwards lol

  9. Why is it summer in the riot months?

Ah, come on.  Who wants to riot in the cold rain?

Whether its nobler in the summer to riot........

  10. Obviously The heat from the sun does bolster people's motivation and fury.

  11. In summer months there's a vacuum of press items and newspaper do need information about sensational events.

  12. nobody wants to go outside in the winter too cold.

  13. Heat and beer usually......It takes very little..

  14. How many people could you get to go outside when it's cold? Maybe a forth of them, but then, what kind of riot would that be?

  15. There is a theory that the hot wheather makes people more irritable & hot & bothered so people r more likely to rebel/argue/dispute at that time of year for that reason. Also if ur picketing outside its better in fine weather so people r more likely to support a strike & be willing to stand outside in summer whereas in the winter theyd b less likely to want to stand outside (& maybe they more likely to need the money for xmas & so not be able to afford to strike, this last comment is a thought of my own i had on the subject.)

  16. the heat stirs people up.

  17. it's the heat you see.

Homicides too rise in summer months.

  18. Why do teachers strike in term time?

  19. To quote Martin Amis - "Rain is the big police."

  20. Its warm and when its warm people start to get mean.

  21. I think you have answered your own question there, most folk wont turn up for a rumble if its peeing down, I live near a pub, and I love it when it rains at night, stops the yobs shouting and mucking about in the road, I guess most people dont feel very political when its cold and wet, so wont turn up for a riot!
