  1. There is no proof for god is existing. It is all imagination.and believing the grand fathers story . If you have god where they are staying. Can you have different god for different people?.

Most of the doctors have faith in god. Most of the scientists have faith in truth.

  2. The simple fact is that scientists are interested in physical evidence, and there is no physical evidence for the existence of any deities.

Actually, most people who believe in any gods also know that people can easily invent them with no evidence.  Christians clearly do not believe in the existence of Odin, Bastet, Zeus, Thor or any of the other gods except Yahweh.  They clearly know that people can invent the gods in which they do not believe.  The vast majority of scientists just take it one step further and see that everybody can wrong, not just the Norse, Egyptians and Greeks.

Geologists and biologists are the scientists with the smallest fraction who believe in gods.  They see the physical evidence of an unplanned world.  The college course that will most likely change the mind of true believers is genetics.  In that class you can see how the beauty of the genes is colored by the number of bad genes that no intelligent designer would create.

  3. First, 'God' needs to be defined.  What does 'God' include?  Judeo-Christian beliefs?  Agnostic beliefs?  Anyhow, here's one of Einstein's quotes on God:

"Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe - a spirit vastly superior to that of man...In this way the pursuit of science leads to a religious feeling of a special sort, which is indeed quite different from the religiosity of someone more naive." [Letter to a child who asked if scientist pray, January 24, 1936; pg. 152 Calaprice]

  4. When it comes to questions and answers about religion anything goes.  The religious organizations in America are always over stating the number or religious people and the importance of religion in America.  Fact is if religion disappeared today it would not change things one bit.

So, it does not matter if a scientists is religious.  What matters is that he or she is a good person.  That he or she contributes to the betterment of society.  That he or she functions within the ethical and moral rules of science.  You don't need to be a Christian to be good.

A new study published in the science journal Nature on Wednesday found that only 40 percent of US scientists believe in God. http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm...

  5. I am a scientist ( geologist and naturalist) and I believe heavily in God. The Earth and all that it contains reveals systems and compositions that couldn't have happened haphazardly. There had to be a mind behind the creation. So, why not God? Why put God in a box and limit what he can do? Regarding creation, were you there, was anyone there to see what actually happened? Yes, we have evidence of so called evolution. But, how do we know for sure that they reveal what actually happened, or in what sequence they happened?

  6. because scientist like proof.

Is there any hard proof evidence of god

    nope

  7. Most folks do believe in some 'concept' of god... even scientists.

A scientist just understands god differently than a religon would explain it..

A logical rationalizing mind considering a religon's  requirements  to incorperate many assumed facts into the equasions of god, wont improve longjevity, or the validity of  religons dogmas,...

where as, a scientist reaches for facts unhindered by opinions.

One religon or another, one belief or another, one understanding or another, one god or another wont lift one man over another in the end...ether.

The best one man can do for his fellow man is accept that each man is unique in his own rite, and give one another room to live there lives as they are spiritually best able to live it.

  8. as an ametuer scientist i would say the reason is because we can explain so much. the reason people believe in god is because of miracles you cannot explain, but scientists can now explain most things so it just causes doubt.

  9. Because God wanted somebody to challenge him (and did not want 'yes' men)and hence created them that way.

  10. I'd say it's because they live in a world of facts and explanations and don't need a mythology to try to explain things.

  11. I think most actually do believe in a Creator and the universe it created.  They just can't tolerate the blind obedience, closed-mindedness of the religions created by humans.

  12. science is based on proof. you get facts from proves theorems and postulates. it's like geometry. there really isn't any proof of a god creating everything. there's the Bible an legends of Moses and Jesus. but based on that, scientists classified this 'theory' that there is a god that created everything into philiosophy. philosophy is thoeries that could be considered to be tre. but if the is no eidence or proof, it is not science; it is philosophy. But I believe in God. I believe that created everything. I just don't know how He did it. science is fun. it explains history through proved theories and postulates. I just believe that God can make miracles happen, but through laws of science and physics. We just haven't found that law yet.

  13. What? Good thing you've forgotten the source because it is BS!

I am a scientist and I know a lot of scientists and we all believe in God, we just have problem with religion which pushes on you a set and unchangeable ideology and view of world.

  14. they look for reason and logic behind any thing and not the invisible hand.

if they believe in the discoveries and inventions will not be there and they also leave every thing to god like the ordinary man do.
