  1. It's for reproduction. The mushroom releases spores from here.

    Happy Birthday to the Queen.

  2. Why is it driving you mad, what is it doing to you?

It's a fungus used to absorb moisture.

  3. it helps the halucionagens spread out through the body

  4. Do you mean the gils? Tose are to hold spores which are mushroom seeds. Mushrooms are fungi, so they do not need pollen or sunlight to grow. When the spores hit the ground and absorb water they grow into small buttons (similar to how a flower will be a sprout) and then pop up into a larger unbella shape.

The gils hold them there untill they are mature. Eather wind or rain will make them fall onto the earth below the mushroom and start growning.

  5. Yes you mean gills and they hold the spores before they are released.

If you want to see it (or the result) take the mushroom cap and place it say on a cd case, gills down. Leave it for a couple of hours then lift the cap and the spore print will be left on the CD case.

It looks pretty cool and is a good way to help identify your shrooms.

  6. That is where the spores are formed to grow new mushrooms.
