We are wired on stage and off stage :-))  I remember when I toured, the energy a musician can draw from a crowd is simply amazing which accounts for our long nights till the wee morning hours and more....!

People see us as having a lot of energy but let's step back a few steps :

We go to bed in early morning and get up at 4 or 5 pm.. It's normal that we are cranked up. We would't feel that way if we got up like everybody else for instance, 8 am.

Would love to see a musician get up that early to see if they would have energy when it is 2 am.

Basically , it is the schedule that is different and musician live at night, sleep during the day for the most part.

it's all about the adrenaline baby  and having confidence and passion!! Take a look at David Lee Roth,..after quitting Van Halen he still had the confidence to go on stage and compete against them with a different band, and on-stage (when he was with van halen) he knew he was in the greatest band to grace the earth..he wasn't quiet about it. and he always had the passion for rock music, even since he was little kid, he's been playing guitar since middle school which led him to want to sing...so bottom line: it's the adrenaline, passion, and confidence!

you stand up on stage in front of thousands of people with music blaring lol its all adreniline pumping through you same reason as why you dont get half as tired as you should be at a  club

we feed off the music.when your doing what you love you poor everything you have into it.I'm constantly trying to create something that only i hear in my head and that gives me the energy and motivation to execute my ideas.
