  1. it could be your nerves

  2. You might just have weak ankles.  I do.  I'm a jogger and I've broken both of my ankle from just being clumsy and falling on it the wrong way.  I've spranged them like 100 times probably.

I always wear a ACE sport's ankle support now.  It helps alot.  Also, try rotating your ankles like 10 times in one direction and then the other.  It helps the muscles.

  3. Check your shoes, it may be time for a new pair.  You may also try to see a sports chiropractor, they can take a look and see if any muscles or joints are out of place.

I have what my coach calls "sloppy ankle"  I have twisted my ankle a number of times and have weakened the tendons, so I go to a chiropractor before any races to get all adjusted and aligned.

  4. hypermobility in the ankle may be a cause, but im guessing your too young to have that.  maybe your running technique is causing too much pressure on the ankles? try running with lighter steps, and on the balls of your feet. that might help. good luck!

  5. you could be growing
