Why do my baby hamsters squeak?

My hamster has recently gave birth to 12 babies and they squeak all the time. What causes them to do this ?

  3. Isn't that what hamsters do when they are young?...I think it's perfectly normal.  They will calm down once they are older.

  4. yes i agree with hamsterxpert. Plus you have to think as well, if they have literally just been born for a few days/weeks then they will have no eye sight and therefore communicate to each other through squeaking.  

  5. Squeaking among baby hamsters is very common. They have just come into the world and are excited about everything they smell around them. It is an equivalent to how a new born human baby cries all the time. Once they are two weeks old, they start maturing and the squeaking would reduce considerably or even stop completely.

  6. That is their language. Just as human babies cry, so other animals have speech that their mother comes to understand. The cries are not only understood by the mother but probably by each of the other (siblings). All animals do this, the sounds are just different.

  7. all hamsters spueack it their way of communicating nothing to worrie about.
