Why do my burned cd's not play on my sterio?

i have tried th e burn the music on to cd - rw cd's.

  1. CD-RW are for computer use they don't play in most CD players try a CD-R.


  2. well you should check your stereo to see if it can play the type of disc you burned. check that it only has songs on it. make sure you burned it on a cd-r or a cd-rw only. if its on a dvd-r of dvd-rw it wont work at all. if its an old cd it might be scratched up or have pictures/videos still on it. if that doesn't work let me know what software you used to burn the disc please. i hope this helps!

  3. Older stereos cannot read mp3s off a burned disk. If you burned mp3s, you will need to convert the music to wma format and burn it again.
