They've been that way since she was a kitten, she's two now.

Why?

  1. If you use a natural corn based litter, that could be what gives them a corn-chip smell. If they smell like nacho cheese, though... I have no idea. o_O

  2. Maybe the kitten stepped into some doritos in her mom's tummy while she was pregnant.

  3. Good question.

I oftened wondered why my cats smell so good.  Then I was pulling weeds one day & realized my hands smelled like my cats often do.  So, the cats pick up the sweet smell of the grass(es) & weeds when they are outside.

It could be, as someone said, from scatching in the litter box, or from walking on a carpet or floor that has a scent....  Or, as someone else said, maybe she's in to the Doritos!  They're hard to pass up!

    :D

  4. Where has that cat been when you are not looking?  My cat's feet don't smell at all.  Huh?

  5. That's the same thing with my dog...Wierd...

  6. Too weird.  Two of my cats have the same smell.  It's just your cat's smell - cat have scent glands around their lips and toe pads - by rubbing their face, or scratching on things (like the sofa or the cat tree), they are spreading their own special scent to their favorite places.  People have their own individual scents, too, but here in the US we spend a lot of time covering it up (bathing every day, shampooing, deodorants) or creating a new one (perfume).

Obviously your cat loves you, if she lets you get that close!

  7. Because of the cat's brred

It must be an Egyptian Nacho Shorthair.

Are you serious?  I have no idea why I find this question so funny.

  8. Maybe because she takes some Doritos when you're not looking?

  9. she must be having some late night snacks in the pantary

  10. it could be from her litter you use in her box or she has a  munchy attack when you are not around
