Why do my cinamon rolls always burn no matter how i try.

How do i avoid them from burning, no matter how i make them within the first couple of minutes the butter and sugar and cinmon turns liquidy and then burns everything.

and im talking about homemad cinamons rolls

  1. Your oven is definitely to hot. Even though you have the oven set as the instructions say, not all ovens heat the same. You should turn it down about 75* less and try that. Also don't put them on the bottom rack, When they are almost done and if the bottoms not browned enough for your liking, move them down to the bottom rack for the last 5 minutes or so.


  2. Aside from what the 1st poster said, you could also try a different pan. Some if too thin, will burn everything.

    Been there.

  3. Mine do that too :(    I set off the smoke alarms again.

    perhaps lower the heat by 50 degrees and put them on the higher rack.

  4. The cinnamon rolls should be baked first and then the icing put on top when the rolls are still warm. If you're putting a lot of cinnamon and sugar on the dough before  you ;roll it up,

    try placing the newly sliced side down on the cookie sheet. Be sure to grease the pan. Use a cooking spray or Crisco no butter.  

  5. Bake them on the middle rack at 350 for about 15 minutes.  Make sure you use brown sugar, not white.
