  1. your only supposed to wear them for 14-16 hours a day

  2. because your contacts are objects that no matter how "comfortable" they are are not a natural part of your body.  When your eyes start to hurt it is because they need a break from having a piece of foreign material on them for too long.  It's great to take them out and wear your glasses and give them a resting time, and also, it makes your eyes more irritable if you sleep in your contacts.  Hope this helps!

  3. ure contacts r dryin u need some mousterizing eye drops

  4. buy contacts you can sleep in i have them and they are soo good

  5. If you sleep with them on, your eyes dry out, causing your eyeballs to  hurt.

  6. Go and see your optician.

  7. Your eyes hurt because they aren't getting enough oxygen as a result of your lenses being in so long.

I can tell you from personal experience -- it is very, very dangerous to leave your lenses in for that long, especially when your eyes hurt, feel dry, or are tired.  Most people don't realize this until it's too late, but here's what happens when you leave your lenses in for too long each day:

The blood vessels in your eyes GROW and extend to areas where there's not enough oxygen being received (meaning they extend lengthwise from the outer part of your eyes to your inner eye).  Eventually, your blood vessels WILL GROW INTO YOUR LINE OF VISION.  You will wake up one day with obstructed vision because of a blood vessel that's in your way!!

I'm not making this up. It nearly happened to me. Once it happens, it's irreversable.  While it's true that today's lenses offer more oxygen intake, your lenses could have something on them that is blocking ample oxygen and you wouldn't know it.  I'm begging you....don't tempt fate and endanger your eyes by wearing them quite so long. (I don't really recommend lenses you can sleep in either...they're not as safe as people make them out to be.)

  8. sounds like you already answered your question.....try moisturizin' drops.

  9. Depending on the contact you are wearing. If you wear your contact for the period of time I would say to wear focus night and day. You wear that contact for 30 days, you sleep in them which is really cool.

You eye dries out, everytime you blink your eye wets the contact so they will stay mosit thur the day. You could actually get an infection from wearing contacts that long.

I would talk to you doctor about getting you into another brand of contact Ciba Vision make Focus Night and Days.

  10. It sounds like your eyes are not getting enough oxygen. check to make sure your contacts are the breathing kind. Your Eye Doctor should know that.

  11. the dryness and pressure on the eyeballs cause the pain.

  12. YOU ARE PUTTING THINGS IN YOUR EYES!!!!

And those things can collect stuff (bits of eyelash, dirt, skin) behind them and mess around with the surface of the eye.

  13. Eyes are designed to be exposed to oxygen. Not to mention debris can build up easy after that long of use without cleaning.

  14. are u SERIOUSLY asking this question???

    wow.....

think about it. when u wear them ur eyes can't breathe which is why u take them out at night.

    my god.....

  15. Could be drying out your eyes.
