Why do my feet get sweaty with slippers but when i wear socks with slippers my feet don't get sweaty?

So if we wear socks then it absorbs it and we dont feel sweaty but then when you take out ours socks then u always feel a pungent smell that comes from the socks and not from the shoe and its becuase of the same reason.

So buddy next time when you remove your socks just smell it and you will get your answer yourself.
