I'm in shape, I've been running since summer started (for about a month), about a mile every other day, and sometimes more, but I have just noticed that when I run, my legs, by my ankles hurt, but when I stop running, and walk, just whenever I'm not running, they feel perfectly fine. (I'm in high school right now)

  1. Ohh man i think i might know why, i had the same problem.

The difference with me was that my injury wasn't on my, it was on my hip. I bet the pain comes from inside. And if it does come from inside, i think you must have pulled something near your ankle. So if i am right please rest, stretching it or continuously running on it will make it worst, i say rest for a week or two, after that it will be as good as new. Just rest don't over exceed.

  2. ok, well try to cahnge your routine before you go to a doctor or anything....

make sure you stretch you legs mainly the hurting area, before and after you run, and see if that helps...

also it could be a lack of support in your running shoes...

also, when you run, check to make sure that your running with pretty much all of your foot and not just your heel or just your toe, AND DONT RUN FLAT FOOTED!!!! you need bend in your foot....

all i can say is that you have to change what your doing and try to find something that helps... you may just need ankle supports...

or, if the pain is kinda in the front shin area, you may have shin splints....

but try different things before going to the doctor...

another thing that helps is to put a heating pad on the sore spots for 20 mins before you run, and then ice it for 20 mins after you run...

    GOOD LUCK!!!!

  3. u need calcium n vitamin in ur body

  4. Are you running with a proper running shoe?  This can make a big difference in your performance and health.  Go to http://www.therunningadvisor.com/running... for a place to start and see if that doesn't make a difference.

  5. hey im a pretty good runner i run heaps!

and i had that a while back its because you arent getting enough blood flow through your legs and not enough oxygen circulation which leads to fatigue quickly when running.

P.S im district champion so i know

  6. it just means ur sore.

dont run the same amount everyday. somedays run more than usual.
