Why do my new Durabrand 2.0 CH USB Powered speakers cause static?

Question

I just bought them and I'm plugged into my new PC and I hear static when I'm not playing anything! When I play something, the static fades away and it plays fine, I have it about 2 feet away from my monitor and the power source, so what could be the problem? Can someone help?

if they have their own power source

u have to raise the volume on the computer

and lower the volume on the speakers

so u now have the control of sound of the speakers
