When i've taken their advice in the past, it's been horrible, downright horrid.

  1. If it hadnt been for my parents and their "horrid" advice I would never have gotten through my 20's 30s, or 40s, 3 babies, a step daughter and an insane wife.

  2. I think your parents give "horrid" advice because during the time they were your age and now, things have changed. They are trying to help, but they just don't understand the circumstances of these days.

The advice they give might be good, but it's up to faith to make it work or not.

  3. ur a p**p.

  4. they are telling you what they would do. best advice, do not look up to anyone else. follow your dreams and your heart and you will do fine! you can take in someones advice but before you act you need to sit yourself down and think about the pros and cons and if you can think of more bad then go ask someone else. my dad is the same way. he is very religious and i am not so when he gives me advice i cant take it in because its so opposite of what i would do.

  5. that's because they are giving you advice for what's best for them and not you, just be thankful you have parents to give you any advice..

  6. My dad told me one time that when you have a baby, it does not come with a owners manual!  Your parents are probably doing the best that they can and I am sure they honestly feel that the advice they are giving is good.  I would suggest that you find someone else to ask advice of, but don't dis-respect your parents by letting them know that they don't give good advice.

  7. I have no idea.  Maybe it's just because you clearly don't respect them on anything, so you only see the advice that doesn't work out, and don't remember the advice where they're right (known as 'bias').

Maybe it's time for you to get your own place and move out?

  8. What type of advice are they giving that is so 'horrible'?

    Sorry, just wanna be nosy

    :)

  9. Because they're parents. Nothing they say is helpful.

  10. The next time they give advice, thank them for it and leave it at that.

  11. if u dont like their advice quit asking. its just advice that doenst mean u have to do it.
