I am trying to post pics on myspace profile under general from Photobucket, but they appear too large in that space. Is there a way I can get them smaller? Or a better way to do this technique?

  1. Most likely you are uploading images that are larger than 72 or 96 dpi. While a 5"x7" image at 150 dpi may be 5"x7" when printed, it will appear almost twice as large when displayed on a computer unless you restrain the size using HTML.

What you need to do is use an image editing program like PhotoShop or Picasa from Google (http://picasa.google.com/) to reduce the resolution of the image to 72 or 96 dpi.

On older monitors, the screen resolution was 72 dpi, but many newer monitors display at 96 dpi.

  2. find the picture you want and get the direct URL or save to comp

    go to tinypic.com

type in the direct URL or load from comp..

and resize it to.. whatever size you want

    and it should be fine
