Why do my plants never die? This is starting to get creepy!?

ok so it all started when i was about 6 or 7 and i bought my mom these african violets in a little pot. they were like half dead when i bought them but i didnt notice--guess i was to young. then they came back to life and she had them till the day i moved out i was 18 but she said a week after I left they died..and she was always the one to water them not me!

when i was about 12 i got these cheap carnations and they lasted from valentines day till christmas..they didnt die! my mom through them out because she said it creeped her out they werent dying.

then when i was 18 i got these roses from my boyfriend they were lasting for about 3 months and then we broke up so i stopped watering them and they took about a year to die..with no water! i dont understand why do my plants never die?

think about the bell shaped curve.

most people can keep plants alive for a little bit, but there there are two extremes.

one extreme: people cant even keep a cactus alive. they cannot own plants cause they will die

other extreme (you): you can't kill plants. plants are living. and so are you. you're connected. its the same as if that plant were a person.

I dont know my mom kills every plant in the house. When she goes on vacation and comes back the plants are all pretty. Wanna trade?
